The Smurfs: The Legend of Smurfy Hollow, or simply Smurfy Hollow, is a 2013 American computer-animated short film based on The Smurfs comic book series by Peyo. The film was directed by Stephan Franck and produced by Sony Pictures Animation, and was released on DVD and Blu-ray.
The story is about the Smurfs getting into the Halloween spirit and telling each other spooky stories. When Brainy Smurf tells the tale of the mysterious Headless Horseman, the other Smurfs dismiss it as fiction. However, the evil wizard Gargamel overhears the story and decides to use it to scare the Smurfs and capture them. He dresses up as the Headless Horseman and chases the Smurfs through the haunted forest, but they eventually outwit him and escape.
The film features the voices of Melissa Sturm, Fred Armisen, and Hank Azaria as various Smurfs, and Alan Cumming as Gutsy Smurf. It received mixed reviews from critics, with some praising its animation and humor, while others found it formulaic and unoriginal.
